Which grains of nail files should we move towards?
All files have the same characteristic: they have two layers covered with grains. But grain size varies, so this needs to be taken into account. Today, the nail expert Maryton will show you the different grains of nail files and which one should we choose in this article.
There are therefore generally 4 forms of grains: fine grains, medium grains, rough grains and extra rough grains.
The 80 or 100 nail file
This is best for filing resin or gel nail covers and shaping them (as they are thicker). As the grain is rough, it is used to remove excess covering (and therefore file the surface of the nail).
The 180 nail file
Less rough, this file is used for toenails and to make the covering more transparent.
The 240 nail file
For natural nails this is ideal. This grain is perfect for filing around the nails.
They will polish the nail and make it shiny. For natural nails without varnish, the Maryton 4-sided polishing block is, for example, the accessory to turn to.
Tips for perfect filing
There are a few precautions you need to take to ensure optimal results:
- To get the shape you want, start by filing the edge and then the center of the nail.
- Always file in the same direction.
Hoping that this article has pleased you and will give you ideas! In addition, I recommend investing in some professional manicure kits to care for your nails.
